This Director will be responsible for:
Directing and managing the day to day financial operations of CHICO. Establishing priorities, reviewing progress and problem solving.
Collaborating with the hospital finance department to ensure that CHICO's needs are recognized, represented and reflected in changes to the Hospital's financial systems.
Interpreting Hospital or sponsoring agency regulations and issues related to funding. Communicating their existence and impact on the CHICO community. Negotiating with departments regarding difficult financial issues pertaining to all phases of fund management.
Overseeing daily operations of CHICO finance and budget. Selecting, training and supervising designated personnel. Monitoring and evaluating personnel work performance and initiating disciplinary actions as warranted.
Providing a myriad of financial analyses of CHICO's activities to determine the Hospital's level of funding, expenses, overhead, trends, projections and other needs of the department, senior management, and a variety of enterprise-level Committees.
Supporting all CHICO internal and external audits, including the A133 and annual CHN internal audits, and assessing and responding to any findings
Recommending and setting accounting policies and procedures as they relate to financial and contract administration.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance.
Master's degree in a business, financial or related field is preferred, and may partially substitute for experience requirement.
Minimum 6 years of related Accounting / Finance experience.
Experience in managed care contracting or hospital finance preferred.
Strong communication skills (both oral and writing skills, ability to communicate effectively with a non-finance audience) and interpersonal skills.
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
Proven ability to influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts, and establish credibility, trust and partnerships at all levels of the organization.
CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.
