Job Requisition Number: 24387. The Department of Rhetoric is a leading center for interdisciplinary research and teaching in the humanities and social sciences, committed to the study of rhetorical traditions from the classical to the contemporary eras.
The UC Berkeley Department of Film and Media offers innovative, interdisciplinary programs leading to a B.A. in Film and a Ph.D. in Film & Media. The Department teaches students to think historically, theoretically, and analytically about film and media within the broad context of humanistic studies. Students and faculty engage with all forms of moving-image culture, including film, still photography, television, and digital media.
The Department of the History of Art is an academic teaching unit currently comprised of 17 permanent faculty, seven permanent staff, 50 graduate students, and approximately 100 undergraduate majors. Approximately 2,000 students are enrolled in History of Art courses per year, including the Summer Session program.
Purchasing and Reimbursements:
•Processes all vendor payments including honoraria. vendor invoices, student stipend payments. •Creates service requisitions and PO’s •Uses bluCard for purchasing as needed. Maintains bluCard database records when making purchases and reconcile accounts •Handles reimbursements for faculty purchases •Processes Travel and Entertainment reimbursements •Provides vendor support as needed •Works with campus entities to process payments to non-US vendors including verifying entry into the Glacier system and wire transfers •Prepares one-time payroll payments and intercampus payments •Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with university policy and determines the appropriate action to be taken. •Keep up to date on campus and federal/state policies regarding financial transactions. •Liaison between the departments and CSS for payroll and BFS functions. •Researching and resolving pay and financial discrepancies and missing payments. •Providing financial reports to the faculty, manager and department chairs •Assist manager with grant reporting •PET requests
•Reconciles all department bluCard purchases, providing the Department Manager with timely prompts for bluCard purchasing approvals

This is a limited, 6-month position that has been classified by the University as Administrative Assistant 2 at 50% FTE.
