The Department of Economics, Finance and International Business in the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey is accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, with a Fall 2018 start date. Silberman College of Business offers undergraduate and graduate programs that are AACSB-accredited. The College has been consistently included by the Princeton Review in its listing of the Best Business Schools in U.S. The college offers a Bachelor of Science degree as well as undergraduate minors for students both in and outside Silberman College. The college also offers an MBA and EMBA, as well as joint degree programs with the School of Pharmacy and the accounting/tax department in Silberman College.
Fairleigh Dickinson, founded in 1942, is a private, coeducational university with an enrollment of more than 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students from throughout the United States and the world. The Metropolitan Campus is located approximately six miles from the heart of New York City, and the Florham Campus is located 35 miles from New York City, near historic Morristown, New Jersey. The University also has two overseas campuses in Wroxton, England, and Vancouver, British Columbia. Silberman College of Business, with more than 1,400 students on its New Jersey campuses, regularly partners with the NJ and NYC business communities in delivering globally-oriented business education programs. Candidates should have an earned (or soon to be completed) doctorate in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution and evidence of, or potential for, high-quality teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses. Preference will be given to candidates in areas of corporate finance, investments and financial markets. An applicant with a special focus area of interest is also welcome. Interest in or experience in online teaching is a plus but not required. The normal teaching load is 9 credit hours per semester, assuming the faculty member has qualified for release time for research. Research support opportunities are available on a competitive basis. Salary and benefits are commensurate with the candidate's experience and publication record or research potential.
