The Senior Manager of Operations Finance will be responsible for managing teams of Finance Managers and Analysts in multiple operating regions and responsible for addressing financial analysis needs of the operations teams in these regions. The individual will ensure the analytics workload for multiple regions is completed timely, accurately and in accordance with standard work processes. The Senior Manager will have regular communication with the Regional Presidents and Vice Presidents in order to help with strategy development and implementation. This individual will be required to be a financial thought leader in the assigned regions, providing the management team with analytical and critical thinking, recommendations based on clear understanding of full scope of the financial needs and operations of the assigned regions.
Supervises Market Managers directly: mentorship and professional development of Finance Managers and analysts; review and approve work product; help with communication, organization of work, prioritization of work and relationship management.
Communicates and maintains relationships with senior regional management team.
Responsible for onboarding, training, team building, and mentorship of team members.
Ensures regional adherence to established work processes and corporate guidelines.
Manages bandwidth based on current workload of every team member.
Fully owns the financial analytics needs for assigned regions (understanding all projects in current pipeline, understanding priority and deadlines, removing obstacles in order to successfully complete these projects, reviewing and approving the output, facilitating presentation and approval process for senior leadership, following the project to completion).
Oversees high impact projects and provides direction and guidance to the finance teams on complex analyses.
Serves as a thought leader to aid in problem solving and process improvement. Takes an active role in being an advisor to senior regional leadership.
Assists in design and development of financial infrastructure (improvement of tools, models and reporting).
Coordinates, directs and plans for the various meetings, conferences and regional summits.
Liaises with all corporate departments in order to improve communication and availably of information for the regional teams.
Prepares and timely issues all required presentations.
Serves as a finance representative on various corporate committees.
Develops and/or updates written policies and procedures for assigned projects and processes.
Prepares various ad-hoc reports as requested.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Advanced degree, MBA and/or other designations a plus.
10+ years of experience required.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
Experience managing teams is required.
Excellent oral, written, listening, and presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information to others.
Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
Strong critical and analytical thinking.
Proven ability to solve problems.
Proven ability to perform under deadlines and to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements.
