The Financial Analyst III is part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information and analysis to Fidelity's mutual fund boards.
The Expertise We're Looking For
Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics with 2 years of related work experience.
Applicants must have strong analytical, communication, conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Flexibility and ability to contribute to the team are musts.
The Purpose of Your Role
The Board Finance team works with and supports a variety of stakeholders including Fidelity-wide business unit leaders, senior managers and the Boards of Trustees for the Fidelity mutual funds. The team is responsible for providing the Boards of Trustees with materials and analysis in support of their consideration of the Funds' contracts with Fidelity. The Board Finance team interacts with each of Fidelity's major business units and is focused primarily on the competitiveness of Fidelity's fund fees and the profitability of Fidelity's mutual fund business.
The Financial Analyst III works to support the Fund Profitability process. Primary responsibilities of the FAIII include analyzing financial results, preparing Board reporting results and materials, and creating presentations in support of those materials.
The Skills You Bring
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Strong Computer Skills - MS Excel (charting and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint are required. Oracle and Essbase experience is a plus.
Goal-oriented and flexible team player
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of the investment management industry and an understanding of Fidelity's products is a plus
The Value You Deliver
Support the annual fund profitability process, which includes both the modeling of FP expenses for Asset Management and the consolidation of cross-firm information for the distribution businesses
Analyze results and support the development of views for internal stakeholders and the trustees that illustrate business results and fund profitability trends
Draft memos and materials for Fidelity's Trustee Boards and senior management
Work closely with PwC on their agreed upon procedures engagement
Lead various ad-hoc projects
Remain current on the news and issues in the investment management industry
