Reporting to the Executive Director this key position is responsible for management of the financial administration and human resources operations of the David Rockefeller Center, including direct oversight of a $7M budget. The Associate Director for Finance and Administration is a key member of the senior staff team responsible for overall strategic planning and management of the Center. Takes lead role in developing the Center's comprehensive budget and for the creation of financial systems to provide accurate and timely budget forecasts to the Director. Works with the Center's Program Officers to develop individual budgets to meet project goals for all program areas. Responsible for external reporting and internal tracking of the Center's Endowment and current use funds. Provides oversight and direction on the Center's sponsored research accounts, grant proposals and reports, donor fund tracking and reports, and the monitoring of day-to-day expenses. Develops and monitors the financial procedures of satellite offices, to include the Regional Office in Chile, the Brazil Office, the Mexico Central America office and activities in Argentina and Honduras. Provides financial reports when necessary. Works with the Associate Director of Strategy and Development on financial aspects of donor stewardship. Oversees all administrative responsibilities related to human resources including appointments and termination, and serves as primary source of information on all HR related policies and practices. Handles recruitment and hiring of staff and compensation. Supervises financial staff of the center. Special projects as assigned by the Executive Director.

BA/BS degree required. Minimum 5 years management experience.
Strong analytic and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and to prioritize work under minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide variety of constituents. Harvard experience highly desirable. Proficiency in Excel, Word, email/internet applications. Familiarity with Oracle Financials and PeopleSoft HR systems preferred. Ability to learn new systems as needed. Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency desirable.
