The Department of Finance and Economics in the College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance position beginning August 2018.
Successful candidates must be academically qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate finance courses, preferably in the areas of financial institutions, international finance, financial statement analysis, and derivatives.Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance (or closely-related field) or be in the ABD stage of their doctoral studies, with expected completion of the Ph.D. prior to their start date. In addition to excellent communication skills, applicants must be able to provide instruction in a variety of modalities, including online.Faculty members are expected to teach 3 to 4 courses per semester, depending on need, and engage in efforts to engage and retain students, mentor finance clubs, and connect UTC with the business community in Chattanooga.
