Fred Hutch Global Oncology (GO), a Cross-Divisional program overseen by the Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division at Fred Hutch, has a mission to reduce the global burden of cancers, especially in low and middle-income countries, through the advancement of research and the development of new low-cost prevention and treatment strategies. A cornerstone of the program is a decade-long alliance with the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) that advances research, capacity building, and cancer care in Uganda.
The Seattle-based Finance and Administrative Manager manages the complex financial operations of the program and supports the program\u2019s overall administration as Vice President of the non-profit affiliate in Uganda, Hutchinson Centre Research Institute of Uganda (HCRI-Ug). With 2-3 direct reports, this position will report to the Global Oncology Managing Director and will work closely with all GO faculty and staff based in Seattle and Kampala and elsewhere to advances the program\u2019s international research, training and other Collaboration activities. The Finance and Administrative Manager will manage and administer all aspects of the program\u2019s sponsored and non-sponsored funding sources. This important position works with minimal supervision and is expected to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities while operating consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Fred Hutch.
