Economics/Finance: The Division of Business is seeking to fill a full-time tenure-track position in Economics/Finance to begin August 2018. The applicant should be able to teach both Economics and Finance courses and may teach relevant business courses.
Applicant should be a holder of a doctorate in a business, finance, or economics discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Economics and 18 graduate credit hours in Finance from an accredited institution.
Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.
The position also requires that the faculty member be available for advising of students, have a willingness to serve on college committees, and participate in relevant professional activities in the community. All business faculty members are expected to ensure that the division’s strategic planning, the Student Learning Outcomes, and assessment meet accreditation requirements of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Faculty development through scholarship activities, including travel and research is strongly encouraged, and funding is available through an endowment.
The Division offers the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with specializations available in Accounting, Economics/Finance, General Business, and Management/Marketing. An online version of the BS in Business Administration (General) begins in January 2018. Frequently offered courses include Principles of Economics I (Macroeconomics), Principles of Economics II (Microeconomics), Money and Banking, Managerial Finance, Investments, and Personal Finance.
