During your internship, you will be aligned to several business units based on your skill set and desire for specific opportunities.
MBA Summer Internship Overview: During your internship, you will work on projects critical to GSK business that will require you to show strategic insight, application of skills, analytical ability and leadership capability. The roles are designed to give you perspective on the healthcare sector, the pharmaceutical business, as well as GSK and our senior management. During this time you will be provided with the appropriate level of support and training. You will also have the opportunity to make a final presentation to the Senior Leadership Team.
Placements will run between May and August at the following sites – Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC, Philadelphia, PA & Warren, NJ. Although we try to match candidates to their preferred location, successful candidates may be offered placements at any of these locations, so any limitation of mobility should be included during the application process
Applicants must meet all of the below requirements to be considered: • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of their employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization. Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status. • First-year MBA student enrolled at a US University. • MBA concentration or strong interest in at least one of the following: • Business to Business Marketing • Brand Management • Market Research • Quantitative methods, data analysis, statistical functions • Healthcare • Finance, Procurement • 3.0+ cumulative GPA. • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (35 - 37.5 hours/week) during the 12-week internship. • High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office programs. • Track record of achievement and leadership in work and/or extracurricular activities. • Desire for a career in the pharmaceutical industry
• 3-5 years work experience prior to business school. • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
