Functions/Duties of Position
Reporting to the Department Administrator of Knight Cardiovascular Institute, the purpose of this position is to oversee the financial reporting of the Institute; administer and facilitate financial and operational processes and procedures as well as the interpreting, analysis, planning, and reporting of financial and related transactions and data. This includes management and oversight of tasks related to budgeting, financial analysis, labor, and administration. It also includes substantial decision making regarding approvals and allocations of operational expenses related to the long term financial health of KCVI, as well as invoicing of KCVI's outreach clinics in the Pacific Northwest, ensuring that KCVI is compliant with terms established in contracts and receives its expected revenue in a timely manner. This position works with administration on the education and understanding of KCVI's complex account structure and general OHSU accounting guidelines for the department's faculty members and administrative staff. This position monitors department trends and makes suggestions and recommendations to the Department Administrator, including development of new tracking mechanisms related to operational expenditures. This position oversees duties related to clinical effort and problem solves to reconcile clinical effort from various data sources (OFA tool reconciliation and submission). This position administers the processing and execution of internal support transfers between KCVI and other departments, working closely with division managers, department administrators, and business managers. This position serves as the primary clinical financial contact to the School of Medicine Dean's Office, and the Clinical Enterprise, providing information, as required.
