Carnegie Mellon University's department of Property Accounting Services is searching for a Property Auditor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing extensive field support in applying the university's Property Management Policies and Procedures.
Core responsibilities will include:
Conducting periodic inventories of movable capital assets in all university owned and leased buildings,
Locating and tagging newly acquired and donated movable capital assets, and
Data entry and review of Excel reports to ensure the accuracy of information in the Property Accounting System.

This position will require extensive field presence and will require occasional travel to off-campus sites. You will be expected to work with a great deal of mobility including, but not limited to, walking to various parts of campus and maneuvering in small, tight spaces; ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 pounds and being capable of bending, reaching, grasping and climbing stairs.
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related fields highly desired.
Three to five years of experience in inventory control or related field required; 5-8 years' experience in inventory control with a university purchasing or accounting background preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's license required.
Demonstrated computer literacy, including working knowledge of spreadsheets, database and word processing software packages highly desired.
Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles.
