This well known direct lending firm is looking for a Fund Accountant with at least 3 years PQE, primarily from a credit or private equity background.
The firm is a global leader within the debt space and boasts an AUM of over £20billion. Although it's a hugely reputable name, the London office is only 40 strong and as such it is like working for a boutique but with a lot of fire power. Everyone in the market speaks incredibly highly of this business.
The role reports directly into the Director of Fund Finance and is responsible for the all aspects of fund administration, albeit from a review and value add perspective. The core day to day duties involve full ownership of NAV accounting and reporting, reviewing the annual financial accounts of the fund, liaising with third parties (administrators, auditors, tax etc) and of course, oversight of the work done by the third part fund administrators. Further to the core accounting and operational duties, with this being a small London team, you will be expected to work heavily with the portfolio, deal and investor relations team, supporting on transactions and structuring as well as providing analysis when required be that for current/potential investors or for future investments.
This is a growing business making this the perfect time to join. It's a broad, 'blank canvass' of a role with a lot of scope to get involved with anything that takes your interest.
With it being a global name, progression and wider challenges are always available. Joining this firm means that in 3-5 years time, there will be no shortage of suitors and no shortage of internal opportunities.
If you are ACA (or equivalent) qualified with at least 3 years of post qualified fund accounting experience from within a private equity or debt/credit firm, then this is a fantastic opportunity to make the step up.
A firm with a reputation as glowing as this does not come without competitive pay, their bonuses are well documented as being the best in the industry and they will always offer a base salary. They are currently open on experience and so are looking between £60,000 and £90,000.
If this is for you or you would like a wider conversation about your opportunities / next challenge then please do not hesitate to apply or get in touch with Thomas Wesseldine directly.
