This position serves as the Finance and Program Assistant for the Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC). The position reports to the CTSC Finance Manager with accountability to the CTSC Administrative Director and requires frequent interaction with program managers, affiliated faculty/staff, the Dean's Office, PO&M, IT, and other areas of operational support within the School of Medicine. The incumbent will assist in the management of finances and administrative needs of the CTSC. Additionally, the incumbent will work independently with only general supervision on projects such as facility issues (A/V, conference rooms, office/cubicle space, phones, safety, security), oversee special events, maintain equipment inventory, administer operational service requests (via eAdmin), AggieTravel, and purchasing of office supplies.REQUIRED--Work experience with policies and procedures on purchasing, travel, entertainment, payroll, personnel, transfers of expenses, invoicing and collections--Work experience demonstrating outstanding administrative, organizational, project- and time-management skills to manage many details of multiple projects simultaneously, keeping tasks on schedule and identifying and solving problems of varying complexity as they arise--Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal communication, ability to lead and collaborate with staff, managers, faculty and leadership to achieve organizational objectives--Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail--Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and web-based programs--Proficiency with financial systems such as Kuali, AggieTravel, Aggie Buy, RedCap --Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills--Established proficiency to work independently and with teams, adapting quickly to changing needs PREFERRED--Federal financial guidelines as stated in OMB A-110, OMB-Circular A-21 and federal audit guidelines in OMB-Circular A-133--UC accounting and financial policies--Understanding of CTSC processes, procedures, and applicable rules and regulations--Familiarity with medical terminology SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
