The Senior Business Analyst supports the VP, Finance by providing professional assistance, project management, recommendations on business need and performs operational management work covering a broad range of activities. The position is responsible for providing project coordination across multiple business units, analytical assessment of business problems, monitoring organizational performance, and identification of risk to operational plans. Develops various ad hoc reports and status updates to support initiatives. Primary Responsibilities:Assists in the development of organizational objectives and short and long term goalsBuild / maintain functional relationships with business area leadership and staff along with a general understanding of individual workflowsPartners with departmental leadership and staff to identify / define performance planning / measures, tracking and reporting objectivesAssists in leading and/or contributes to effective operational implementation of "New Payer" agreementsConducts research and analyzes / interprets information on issues, proposals and problems and reviews findings with stakeholdersCollaborate cross departmentally to manage risk forecasting / mitigation, project progress and issue resolution effortsLiaison between internal and external teams to help steer work stream communication to ensure response integrityMaintain project and process knowledge bank to support best practice identification and implementationDevelop performance, project status, meeting correspondence and ad hoc reports for consumption by various levels of managementPerforms all other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience2+ years of data analysis / healthcare operations experience2+ years of finance / financial analysis experience1+ years of experience in project managementAdvanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Preferred Qualifications:Master's in Health Administration, Finance, Public Health or Business AdministrationPMP CertificationCertification and / or training in a nationally recognized Change Management MethodologyBasic understanding of concepts and practices of Six SigmaProven ability to successfully conceptualize an initiative, develop a plan and execute the plan through implementationAbility to interact one on one and consult with all levels of executive managementPossession of strong analytical / statistical skills used in evaluating and analyzing data Careers with WellMed.
