The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for defining and implementing strategic finance objectives that support the organization and the leadership of the Finance division.
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities under the management of the Accounting Manager, Revenue Operations & Customer Services Manager and the Facility & Reprographics Manager and their staff
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions through the use of effective policies, procedures and internal controls. Implement and ensure compliance to the organization’s guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensure that processes, tax returns, and reports are compliant with generally accepted accounting procedures
Provide leadership in the areas of financial reporting, cash management, budgeting and performance metrics
Create and implement Finance initiatives that support strategic objectives and provides for fiscal stability
Serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Management Team on issues related to financial reporting and analysis, payroll and timekeeping, billing, collections, and customer service and facility management
Partner with management to understand financial performance metrics and provide support and education to employees regarding Finance Customer Services concerns (e.g. billing and collections).
Direct the preparation of the company’s annual expense budget. Partner with Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Analysis to generate the company’s market analysis and revenue budget
Lead the creation of goals, objectives and systems
Ensure that staff is trained and cross-trained in organization’s systems and processes to ensure organizational goals are met
Interview, recommend, hire, train and manage staff
License Requirements: CPA required.
Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting or related discipline.
Experience: Five years of accounting experience across all areas of finance including: financial reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections and cash management. Five years management/supervisory skills required.
