Hagerstown Community College is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for a Executive Assistant I, Administration and Finance position.
The Executive Assistant for the Vice President, Administration and Finance is responsible for providing all administrative support to the Vice President, Administration and Finance (VPAF). The employee must possess strong organizational and time management skills, high computer literacy and proficiency with technology tools, as well as highly developed analytical skills and a strong collaborative capacity to work effectively with various groups across campus. The position maintains projects accounting for capital improvement projects, is involved in the annual budget development process, and has assignments working under the Vice President's leadership in the administration and management of the College's risk management policies and procedures to include property and liability insurance related work.
Education and experience - Associates degree required; 3-4 years related experience.
Skills and abilities - Good knowledge of accounting and clerical methods; ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and to establish good working relationships with staff, students, insurance representatives, vendors, and other outside agencies; ability to work under pressure from deadlines; familiarity with computers to include word processing, spreadsheets and database manipulation; and familiarity with computerized integrated accounting systems.
